Greetings From Camp Firewood Print
Make sure the summer camp movie lover on your list is ready for the pending return of Wet Hot American Summer as a Netflix series with this print from an art show of Wet Hot American Summer-inspired art.
Kaya McLaren’s wonderful novel set at a summer camp in the Pacific Northwest tells the story of five women and the impact the camp, which is in danger of shutting down, has had in the past and continues to have on their lives.
Lego doesn’t have an official summer camp set, but this Lego Cabin set is the closest thing I’ve found to recreating summer camp with Lego blocks. In fact, I used this set and some spare parts purchased on eBay to re-create Kamp Krusty from The Simpsons.
For the board gamer in your family, you can buy the 1965 board game inspired by Allan Sherman’s hit song “Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah.” You can find Camp Granada board games in various conditions on eBay.
Spikeball isn’t quite summer camp specific as Gaga ball, but it’s a fun game that’s caught on the last few years at summer camps, the beach and other recreational areas.
Parent Trap T-shirts
Depending on the age of the summer camp movie lover on your list, they’ll either identify with the fictional Camp Inch from the original Parent Trap or the fictional Camp Walden from the Lindsay Lohan-starring remake.

Friday the 13th Soundtrack on Vinyl
For the vinyl lover on your holiday shopping list consider getting the reissue of the score to the original Friday the 13th on vinyl (the way it was meant to be heard).
If you haven’t gotten one yet, you can buy one of these shirts I designed that pay homage to the favorite camp song.
What’s better for the s’more lover on your list than an entire book of s’more-inspired recipes?
Camp Takota was a cool indie summer camp film released earlier this year by a trio of popular YouTubers. You can get the movie and some other cool swag at www.camptakota.com.
In lieu of giving a gift, you could always make a donation to a camp scholarship program, either one at a camp of your choice or to an organization like SCOPE that provides scholarship opportunities for kids who otherwise wouldn’t be able to experience camp.
