ALF rents ‘Meatballs’ and ‘Ernest Goes to Camp’ to prepare Brian for camping

Brian is going on his first overnight camping trip with the Beagle scouts and to help him prepare ALF rents him three movies that make up what he calls the wilderness trilogy in the “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” episode of the ’80s TV show.

The movies: Meatballs, The Great Outdoors and Ernest Goes to Camp.

Brian’s friend Jake finds the movies in a large duffle bag ALF brings to the tent they have set up in the backyard to get Brian ready.

“What are we supposed to do with these,” Jake asks?

“You didn’t bring the VCR?” ALF responds.

Also included in the duffle bag is Cheez Wiz, Meat Wiz and Fish Wiz.

“Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” was the 22nd episode of Season 3 and first aired March 27, 1989.
