Amazon releasing ‘The Interestings’ pilot on June 17

Amazon is releasing the pilot episode of an hour-long series based on Meg Wolitzer’s best-selling novel about a group of friends who meet at a New England arts summer camp on June 17.

Lauren Ambrose stars in The Interestings pilot as an adult Jules Jacobson, the book’s main character loosely based on Wolitzer, who had her own transforming experience at a summer arts camp. The pilot also stars David Krumholtz (Numb3rs), Jessica Paré (Mad Men), Matt Barr (Sleepy Hollow), Gabriel Ebert (Ricki and the Flash), Jessica Collins (Rubicon), and Corey Cott (Public Morals).

Prime members will have access to the pilot beginning June 17 and as with past pilots will have a chance to weigh in on whether it should get a full season run.
