Australian actor Tom Green has been cast as the lead in NBC’s summer camp dramedy, according to a report in Deadline.

Green, 21, is best known in Australia for his role in the Australian Broadcasting Company’s Dance Academy, which was carried by TeenNick in the U.S. He’s pictured above in the 2012 movie Thirst, a futuristic desert drama. He will play Kip on the show, an “adorable loner who likes indie rock and documentary films and hates people,” according to Deadline.

Camp, a 10-episode hour-long drama slated to run on NBC this summer, will be set at the fictional Little Hawk Family Camp, where “parents decompress with gin while teenagers make gleeful mischief and fall in and out of love.”

The series is slated to begin shooting in Australia next month.

  1. Hi, I’m sooo excited for this Camp to come out, just a question… how can I watch it if I don’t have access to NBC? Tom Green is a young and inspiring actor!
