Austrian summer camp movie ‘Paradise: Hope’ debuts in Berlin

Paradise: Hope (Paradies: Hoffnung) is the final film in Austrian filmmaker Ulrich Seidl’s Paradise trilogy (Love and Faith were both released in 2012) and centers around a 13-year-old girl who goes to a summer camp for overweight children.

Based on the trailer, it looks nothing like the American take on children attending fat camp (named Camp Hope, interestingly enough) in the 1995 film Heavyweights.

Hope recently made its debut at the Berlin Film Festival. IndieWire has a review.
