BBC green lights Dr. Who at Summer Camp in Massachusetts

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has given permission to a Massachusetts summer camp to officially use the Doctor Who character in their program for 2014. The Doctor Who Summer Camp will be part of the program offered at Wizards & Warriors Summer Camp in Burlington, Mass.

The camp made the announcement on their website earlier this week:

We are excited to announce that the BBC has granted our camp permission to use the Doctor Who character (otherwise known as “The Doctor”) as a character in our plot for the 2014 season. This is a rare opportunity in that we do not know of any other authorized Doctor Who Summer Camp… which may make ours the first to have a guest appearance from this character!

So if you are planning to attend Wizards & Warriors Summer Camp in 2014, you better get up to speed on the character of Dr. Who and his history as well as his abilities. As with all of our characters, he has something important to teach and our heroes have to help him solve important mysteries.

Wizards & Warriors Camp is owned and operated by Guard Up Inc., which also operates the largest swordsmanship facility in the USA for kids, teens and adults in Burlington and Reading, Mass. The co-ed summer camp offers overnight camp for ages 10-18 and extended day camp for ages 7-15.

Doctor Who, a BBC-produced British science-fiction television show, ran originally from 1963-1989 and was revived in 2005.
