Beverly Hillbillies Comic #14

In this comic book adaptation of the popular TV show from September 1966, the Beverly Hillbillies, aka the Clampetts, buy a summer camp and become counselors. It’s really a shame this summer camp scenario never made it into the television show, which ran for nine seasons on CBS from 1962 to 1971.

In recent news related to the TV show, the musician who penned the show’s iconic, sung-around-a-campfire-a-time-or-two theme song, Earl Scruggs, died earlier this week.
