Billy the Exterminator is a reality show on A&E that stars a charismatic exterminator who isn’t the nerdy button-up shirt wearing Orkin man you might picture upon hearing the word exterminator.
Billy, who dresses like a biker and makes exterminating look like an extreme sport, takes care of various critter problems his clients have in and around Shreveport, Louisiana, taking on snakes, gators, wasps and all those fun animals that can kill you if you aren’t careful. Like a lot of so-called reality shows, Billy the Exterminator is a one-dimensional show full of less than stellar “acting,” awkward dialogue and canned drama. Can you tell I’m not a fan of the genre?
In this particular episode from season 2, Billy purportedly helps Twin Lakes Summer Camp save their twin lakes by taking care of a nasty beaver problem that according to the show’s logic ends up being caused by one beaver. It is was it is, I guess.
This isn’t the only time Billy comes to the rescue of the campers and staff of Twin Lakes. On another visit to the same camp in season 2, he takes on a gator in an episode (not on Hulu) entitled “Summer Camp Gator.”
