‘Bug Juice’ revival coming to Disney Channel in 2018

Disney Channel has returned this summer to Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine to film a revival series of the popular late ’90s summer camp reality show that spent its first season at the camp in 1998.

The fourth season of Bug Juice (or the first of the revival series) is slated to debut in 2018.

“Bug Juice took viewers on a journey of adventure and self-discovery. Now, nearly two decades later, we are thrilled to be back in Maine at Camp Waziyatah with the creative team from Evolution Media and many of the same crew members who produced the original series,” Susette Hsiung, the executive vice president of production at Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement.

The second season was filmed at Camp Highlander in North Carolina and the third season at Brush Ranch Camp in New Mexico.

The new season is being executive produced by series veterans Douglas Ross and Alex Baskin, Tina Gazzero Clapp and Toni Gallagher.
