‘Camp Abercorn’ will debut at New York Television Festival in October

Web series Camp Abercorn is heading to New York for its debut as part of the Independent Pilot Competition of the New York Television Festival October 19-24.

The dramedy series pilot – one of 50 in the competition – tells the story of the “colorful staff of Camp Abercorn – a traditional boys camp” who “struggle to keep the spirit of camp alive under a militant new leader.” The pilot is scheduled to premiere at the festival on October 22, at 6 p.m.

A successful $100,000 IndieGoGo campaign launched last year helped fund the pilot, which stars Brad Leland of Friday Night Lights fame, and was created by filmmaker and Eagle Scout Jeffrey Simon.

The new trailer includes previously unreleased footage.
