Camp Cariboo

Camp Cariboo was a Canadian children’s television program that originally aired from 1986 to 1989 and had a rerun stint from 1989 to 1996.

It was filmed on location at various summer camps throughout Ontario and starred Tom Knowlton and Mark Baldwin as the goofy hosts who sang songs, performed skits, told jokes and interacted with campers at the fictitious Camp Cariboo.

One of their regular segments was a feature called Camping with the Keeners in which Tom and Mark’s chipmunk-sounding (and rather irritating) alter egos shared important tips about camping like canoeing and food groups.

The cariboo.com website advertised in both of the videos linked above is no longer working, but the Wayback Machine has the site HERE. The site inspired this YTMND entry.
