Camp Susquehannock is (sort of) referenced in pilot episode of NBC’s ‘Rise’

When English teacher Lou Mazzuchelli (Josh Radnor) decides he wants to take over the drama department at his high school in the pilot episode of NBC drama Rise, the first question asked of him is what experience he has directing theater.

It turns out not much.

“You must have some great credits to steal this job from me, so tell me,” Tracey Wolfe (Rosie Perez) asks Muzzuchelli after hearing the news that she is no longer in charge of the department.

Mazzuchelli’s response: “Fiddler on the Roof, Lake Susquehannock Summer Camp, junior division, 1994.”

“Well, I can see that your work at Lake Shoot-my-Hammock trumps my 11 years of giving my blood, sweat and tears to this program,” Wolfe responds.

Lake Susquehannock isn’t quite the name of the camp and the lake there is named Tripp Lake, but Camp Susquehannock is a real camp in Pennsylvania so that should count for something.
