Camp Tamakwa bumper sticker a prop in ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’

A Camp Tamakwa bumper sticker is on the prop list for the new Starz horror comedy series Ash vs Evil Dead, according to its star Bruce Campbell.

Campbell, who reprises his role from the early ’80s horror trilogy as the show’s title character, said in a recent interview that the original 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 used in the series is adorned with a Camp Tamakwa sticker.

The first two films – Evil Dead in 1981 and Evil Dead II in 1987 – each included a t-shirt from the Ontario camp, which director Sam Raimi attended as a kid.

Ash’s car can be seen in the trailer, but there’s no sign of the bumper sticker. The 10-episode series debuts on Starz on Saturday, October 31, at 9 p.m. Eastern.
