Filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen were on NPR’s Fresh Air earlier this week to talk about their new film Inside Llewyn Davis and as you might expect about a film based around the ’60s folk scene the topic of Bob Dylan came up.
In talking about Dylan, radio host Terry Gross asked about the Coen Brothers summer camp connection to the famed musician. As it turns out, the Coen Brothers went to Herzl Camp in Webster, Wisconsin, the same camp a young Robert Allen Zimmerman (Bob Dylan’s birth name) attended camp.
The Coen Brothers, who are both more than a decade younger than Dylan, noted that they didn’t attend at the same time. You can read the transcript of the interview HERE.
