Cop seeks revenge on bunkmate who bullied him in ‘Rizzoli & Isles’

A man found beaten to death on the side of the road bullied a former camp bunkmate for wetting the bed in the “In Plain View” episode of Rizzoli & Isles (Season 5, Episode 16).

The victim, Todd Reynolds (Tim Bader), focused his bullying efforts on Detective Mike Guthrie (Niall Matter) who comes down to Boston from Maine in the beginning of the episode looking for answers about what he says are a similar string of crimes in his own jurisdiction.

But when evidence is destroyed from a small fire set intentionally in the bathroom of the department and the summer camp connection is made to the victim, Guthrie becomes a prime suspect.

Unfortunately, the name of the fictional camp isn’t mentioned and there aren’t any flashback scenes, but the complicated procedural scenario ends up involving a camp reunion, an abusive stepfather and a humiliation Guthrie had repressed for 25 years.
