Dov Charney Talking Summer Camp Economics in ’80s Documentary

Dov Charney has had his share of controversy as CEO of clothing company American Apparel so it’s doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch for him to be discussing economics and criticizing his summer camp for being “communist” in a 1983 documentary (A 20th-Century Chocolate Cake). Still, it’s quite random seeing the future fashion mogul being so blunt about the way things worked at his summer camp and what he thought of it. It’s not clear what summer camp he was referring to, but his father did mention once sending him to a summer camp in Israel to instill order in a New York Times article.
