Freeform’s ‘Dead of Summer’ adds three to cast

Upcoming Freeform summer camp horror series Dead of Summer has added three cast members.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Zelda Williams (Teen Wolf), Alberto Frezza (Touch) and Eli Goree (The 100) have all been cast.

Williams, the daughter of the late comedian/actor Robin Williams, will play a camp counselor who is “a mysterious loner with no interest in bonding with the rest of the group,” while Goree will play “an aspiring filmmaker who returns to Camp Clearwater as a counselor and begins to buy into the idea that something weird is happening.”

Frezza will play “a young deputy who has ties to Camp Clearwater and who quickly grows suspicious when events at the camp don’t quite add up.”

Dead of Summer is set in the 1980s and focuses on the counselors at Camp Clearwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp with a dark, ancient mythology.

Production on the show begins in March.
