Group of camp friends traveling to Arizona for Super Bowl

A group of eight camp friends who travel together annually are in the news in Boston because they booked their trip to Arizona long before they knew the Patriots would be playing in the Super Bowl.

While it is cool that it worked out for them, I was more interested in the fact that this group of camp friends remains close enough to be vacationing together after all these years.

According to a CBS Boston report, the friends (Allan Chester, David Yas and Steven Levitt are named) met at camp 30 years ago and have taken a trip together each of the last 10 years. The group booked the trip to Arizona for Super Bowl weekend back in June before their beloved Patriots had even kicked off their season.

The camp where they met was Hampstead, New Hampshire Jewish camp Camp Tel Noar.

The camp’s Facebook page referenced the article/report with this message: “Tradition, true friendship, and spirit! These guys are an amazing testament to what CTN provides all of us. Go Pats! Go CTN!”
