Upcoming Hulu series The Path was filmed in part at a summer camp in New York.
The series stars Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul as a member of a cult who has a crisis of faith. The 10-episode season is scheduled to debut on March 30. Originally named The Way, the show also stars Michelle Monaghan, Sarah Jones, Hugh Dancy, Kathleen Turner and Minka Kelly. It’s produced by Jason Katims of Friday Night Lights and Parenthood fame.
Filming was done at the Marydell Faith and Life Center in Nyack back in September and was expected to continue this month. The 40-acre property owned by the Sisters of Our Lady of Christian Doctrine was home to Camp Marydell from 1924 to 1988. Some 130 girls came every summer for the eight-week summer camp held at the property.
After the camp closed, the cabins were rented out to groups, including one that ran a day camp for children with disabilities. The nuns recently decided to sell 30 of the acres to the Trust For Public Land, which plans to convey the land to the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, according to a recent article in the New York Times.
You can see Marydell’s large red barn and other scenes shot on the grounds in the trailer below or on YouTube.
