King of the Camp is a 2008 Canadian made-for-TV film that is more or less a Canadian version of Camp Rock, which is essentially High School Musical set at a summer camp. The plot is your standard Romeo and Juliet/West Side Story-style love story where people from opposite social classes fall in love. Since it’s summer camp, the guy is a “lowly” kitchen help and the girl a counselor.
In this particular musical universe where everything is an intro to a song the idea of a counselor dating kitchen help is heavily frowned upon. In fact, kitchen help doing anything outside of the kitchen, like say being awesome at wakeboarding as Will, the main character in the movie is, is strictly forbidden.
