‘Meatballs’ poster shows up in ‘No Strings Attached’

Ivan Reitman’s new movie No Strings Attached opens at summer camp and pays tribute to another summer camp movie Reitman worked on in the form of a poster.

The poster is for the classic 1979 summer camp movie Meatballs and can be seen hanging in the apartment of Adam (Ashton Kutcher) and Eli (Jake Johnson) in a scene where Eli is complaining about the noise Adam and his summer camp friend he’s reconnected with are making.

The raunchy comedy opens with Emma (played as an adult by Natalie Portman) and Adam as campers at Camp Weehawken, but is mostly about them reconnecting as adults and attempting a “no strings attached” relationship.
