Netflix releases Retro Camp Firewood promo for ‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp’

Netflix has released a faux retro grainy VHS promotional video for Camp Firewood ahead of the release of the eight episodes of Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.

The video, narrated by voice of the can of vegetables (H. Jon Benjamin of Bob’s Burgers fame), is the first real glimpse of the reunited star-studded cast – I spy Bradley Coooper, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Michael Ian Black, Paul Rudd and more – reprising their roles from the 2001 cult film set on the last day of camp at Camp Firewood in 1981.

The Netflix series will take place on the first day of camp in 1981 and will include a host of big name newcomers like a snobby Camp Tigerclaw counselor played by Kristin Wiig and John Hamm as a spy among others.

The series drops on Netflix on July 31.
