New Munsters Pilot To Open At Summer Camp

The Munsters reboot that is in development by NBC will reportedly focus on Eddie Munster, the werewolf son of Herman and Lily Munster, and open with him at summer camp.

According to an article in Movieweb: “The opening sequence is from a summer camp, where several boys and girls are attacked by Eddie while in his werewolf form, which forces the family to move into the shoddy mansion in Mockingbird Heights.”

The original Munsters was a black and white sitcom that aired for 70 episodes on CBS from 1964-66 and satired monster movies and the more traditional family sitcoms of the time like Leave It To Beaver.

The new series in development is being described as “Parenthood told by Anne Rice.
