NYC songwriter crowdfunding ‘Campfire Songs’ project

New York City songwriter/composer and elementary school music teacher Rob DelGaudio has launched a crowdfunding campaign for a project he’s calling Campfire Songs.

DelGaudio plans to record an album of campfire songs with proceeds benefiting the camp scholarship organization SCOPE, the National Inclusion Project and A BroaderWay.

I am collaborating with some amazing musicians, and we are recording original, fun & heartwarming odes to childhood summers for an album titled Campfire Songs. I started writing these songs for fun a few years back and a few short tunes soon turned into a album. There’s a song about a legendary Adirondack lumberjack, a song about a witch with a luring voice, a song about being a good friend, gratitude, the fiasco canoe ride and s’mores! Literally, a song about s’mores!

The album will feature an impressive (and surprise) guest list of Broadway performers.
The band will play traditional acoustic instruments: acoustic guitars and bass, banjo, mandolin, accordion, violin & hand percussion… to get that around the campfire sound. Many of the songs will feature a mixed chorus of kids and adults singing fun, soaring harmonies. We will record in the renowned Dubway Studios beginning in May!
