Parker Posey was Detective Little Red Riding Hood in camp play she directed

Actress Parker Posey did a mashup of Kojak, Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks & The Three Bears in a stage production she directed when she was at summer camp.

Posey talked about the production involving Little Red Riding Hood as a detective investigating the case of Goldilocks & The Three Bears with comedian Marc Maron on his WTF Podcast.

I walked out on stage and I said ‘who loves ya baby’ and everyone started laughing,” she told Maron. “I remember thinking ‘this isn’t funny I’m a detective.’”

For those unfamiliar – I wasn’t – “Who loves ya baby” was the catch phrase of the title character played by Telly Savalas on the ’70s detective show Kojak. Posey said she was eight years old at the time of the play and that the camp was Strong River Camp and Farm in Mississippi.

Below is a clip of one of my favorite Posey roles in the movie Waiting For Guffman.
