Pentagram in Kazakhstan An Abandoned Summer Camp?

A field in Kazakhstan with a distinct pentagram shape visible on Google Maps is reportedly the remains of an abandoned Soviet-era summer camp and not the Gates of Hell.

The explanation behind the Google Map oddity comes via Emma Usmanova, an archaeologist with years of experience working in the Lisakovsk area where it’s located. “It is the outline of a park made in the form of a star,” she told LiveScience.

Photos of the site, which was apparently never completed, can be seen on EnglishRussia.com.
