Pop singer Amy Grant will be hosting day camp sessions for the multicultural Christian camp Barefoot Republic on her 450-acre farm in Tennessee again this summer.
The inaugural Barefoot at the Farm was held last summer on the farm in Franklin. Sessions for this summer are June 6-10 and June 13-17. Grant also hosts weddings and other events on her farm.
Barefoot Republic is celebrating its 15th camp season this summer. The camp was founded in 1991 when executive director Tommy Rhodes left a PhD program at Vanderbilt University and sold his baseball card collection to help fund the purchase of a 70-acre farm in Scottsville, Kentucky.
Amy Grant had a string of hits in the late ’80s and early ’90s. I can’t hear “I Will Remember You” and “That’s What Love Is For” and not think of middle school dances or “Every Heartbeat” and road trips with my family.
Below is video of her hit song “Baby Baby.”
