Report: ‘The Interestings’ Amazon series ‘not going forward’

The TV series adaptation of Meg Wolitzer’s best-selling novel about a group of friends who meet at a summer arts camp isn’t being picked up for a full series, according to a report in Deadline.

“I hear Amazon’s other drama pilot from the batch, The Interestings, is not going forward,” writer Nellie Andreeva notes in an article about The Last Tycoon being picked up for a season.

Amazon released the pilot episode of The Interestings in June. It opens in the ’70s at Spirit of the Woods arts camp and jumps decades and hairstyles to follow the various paths a group of young artsy campers who dub themselves “the Interestings” take in life.
