Rick and Morty go to Camp Camperson in issue #5 of comic

Rick and Morty go to Camp Camperson in Issue #5 of the Rick and Morty comic book.

A spin-off of the Adult Swim cartoon where a boy named Morty and his alcoholic scientist grandfather Rick go on interdimensional travels, the comic takes on other misadventures – in this case summer camp – the anti-heroes go on.

As an introduction to the property, the summer camp story “Mortballs” is a bit confusing, but after going back and watching the pilot of the cartoon series it makes a little more sense. While at Camp Camperson, Rick fits right in as a grumpy counselor ordering kids around while Morty tries to get to the bottom of why things at camp seem off. It turns out, Morty and Rick might not actually be at camp at all.

The result is a mixture of summer camp hijinks and dark humor that makes for a bizarre but entertaining read.
