Singer-songwriter Steve Earle will be hosting a songwriting camp for songwriters of all ages in the Catskills for the third time this summer.
The veteran songwriter will also be joined by special guest Shawn Colvin at this year’s Camp Copperhead at The Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York.
“Just to give you the lowdown, this is going to be a unique experience for me and you,” Earle writes on the camp’s website. “It’s a moment where we can look at how songs are composed and constructed through the lens of my catalog, in particular. In the lectures and classes, we’re going to analyze a bunch of my songs—because I know where the bodies are buried on mine! So, if something of mine has spoken to you, I’m honored to go deeper.”
The four-day camp is scheduled for June 27-July 1. Go to www.camp-copperhead.com for more info.
