• The memoir by Eric Dregni You’re Sending Me Where? Dispatches From Summer Camp is available for pre-order.

• Jordan Peele likened actress Allison Williams, who stars in his new film Get Out, to “an old summer camp crush” in an L.A. Times article.

• A magazine article by Meaghan O’Neill for The Boston Globe makes the case for sending your kid to an arts camp this summer.

• Camp Riverbend co-founder Marianne Breene died at age 93. The Warren Patch pays tribute.

• Girl Scout cookies – especially the new s’mores ones – are good enough on their own, but 17 restaurants in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania signed up to make delicacies out of the popular snacks as part of the Third Annual Girl Scout Cookie Crunch.

• The Hallmark Channel is premiering a new movie called Campfire Kiss on March 18. The film, starring Danica McKellar of The Wonder Years fame, is set at a winter family camp.

• One of the subjects in a new Domino’s pizza commercial celebrating “superfans” first created her Domino’s-inspired costume at summer camp.

• A former classmate and summer camp friend of CNN news anchor Jake Tapper was interviewed for a Forward article, where he said Tapper has always been “outspoken, irreverent and very, very confident.

A Deadline article about the late theater publicist and actress Patty Freedman mentions that she attended Interlochen Summer Camp for Performing Arts.

• A new fictional horror podcast out of Metropolitan State University in Denver is set at a summer camp called Lake Clarity.
