Summer Camp-themed bar opening in Washington D.C.

A summer camp-themed bar is opening this May near Union Station in Washington D.C.

The BBQ Joint chef and owner Andrew Evans is teaming up with Ian and Eric Hilton to open the unnamed restaurant, according to Washington City Paper.

While Evans background is in barbecue, he looked at actual summer camp menus for inspiration for the menu for this venture. Evans told City Paper that he’ll serve camp staples like spaghetti and meatballs, hot dogs, sloppy joes, mac and cheese, strawberry shortcake, s’mores bread and butter pudding, and ice cream sandwiches.

There will also be cereal available at all hours.

“I guarantee I’ll be the only bar in America where at 10 o’clock you can order a bowl of Lucky Charms,” Evans told the paper.
