Actor John Magaro, who plays Charlie Geller in the Oscar-winning 2015 film The Big Short, was a regular real life Arty ‘The Beekeeper’ Solomon in his days at summer camp.
Magaro, who portrays a nerdy guy who starts a hedge fund out of his garage in Colorado, attended Camp Wise, a Jewish camp in Ohio as a kid. While there, he took an interest in radio, creating a humor radio show with his cousin Jeremy Lublin, according to an article in Forward.
