The Interestings may be adapted into TV series

Meg_wolitzer_2011The Interestings, Meg Wolitzer’s best-selling 2013 novel that follows a group of friends who meet at a New England summer arts camp in the ’70s, could be coming to the small screen.

The author has mentioned in interviews, usually in response to the question all authors are bound to get when a book makes best-seller and critics lists about movie rights, that the book is being developed for a television series instead. This makes sense considering the sweeping decades-long narrative of the book.

A recent interview with Bustle noted Wolitzer’s wry “we’ll see what happens with that” response when asked about the planning for the television series.

Hopefully, more detailed news of the project moving forward will be coming.
