The Legend of Beaver Dam

The Legend of Beaver Dam is a 12-minute rock musical horror that takes the age-old summer camp and camping trip tradition of telling ghost stories around the campfire to a whole new level.

The plot of the short film making screening Jan. 21 at the Sundance Film Festival centers around nerdy youngster Danny Zigwitz and his quest to save his fellow campers from a bloody massacre when the main character in a ghost story, Stumpy Sam, comes to life.

The brainchild of Canadian writer-composer duo Sable & Batalion, The Legend of Beaver Dam has already been honored with several awards, including “Best Horror Short Film” at Fantastic Fest, and “Best Short Film” at both ScreamFest L.A. and Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya, an international fantasy/horror festival.
