If you live or work near a Tim Hortons don’t bother setting the coffee pot the morning of Wednesday, June 6, because it’s Tim Hortons Camp Day.
Camp Day is an annual event for the restaurant chain in Canada and the United States where every penny made from coffee sales on the day goes toward sending underprivileged youth to one of six summer camps run by the Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation. In 2011, Camp Day raised $9.9 million.
“It’s overwhelming each year to see how our guests come together to support the Foundation,” said Bill Moir, President, Tim Horton Children’s Foundation. “On Camp Day, buying cup of coffee and participating in the many activities helps contribute to positive change in a child’s life. And that’s a good feeling.”
