Trail Heads: Thoughts From the Camping Profession

After reading an e-book put out by Seth Godin, summer camp guru Nathan Brant was inspired to put together his own e-book with a summer camp twist. Trail Heads: Thoughts From the Camping Profession is the result, a free e-book with a collection of essays from Nathan and several others working in the camping profession.

I’m probably the least “professional” of the group since I haven’t and never have collected a paycheck from a summer camp (I was once promised pay for doing maintenance for a camp one week but the check never came). Still, Nathan was gracious enough to accept a submission from me.

I wrote about my experience as an overly enthusiastic junior high camper trying to memorize every other camper and staff member’s name and the importance of knowing and be known in today’s world. But that’s not the only reason I’m telling you about the book. Go to Nathan’s blog to download the book and pass it along to anyone who might benefit from the insights and reflections of camping professionals.
