‘Wet Hot American Summer’ Ten Years Later Coming to Netflix in 2017

Wet Hot American Summer will be getting a second season on Netflix, after all. The streaming company has announced that eight more episodes will be coming in 2017.

While the first series was technically a prequel to the film, focusing on the First Day of Camp at Camp Firewood in 1981, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later will pick up where the 2001 movie ends with all of the counselors meeting back at camp for a reunion “to see what kind of people we’ve blossomed into.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, David Wain and Michael Showalter will be back as writers and executive producers but the star-studded cast, which they managed to reunite from the original movie the first go around, has not been announced.
