Word Films is releasing the inspirational faith-based indie summer camp movie Camp on DVD Aug. 27.

Camp is the story of a deeply troubled boy, Eli (Miles Elliot, The Mentalist), and an apathetic investment advisor, Ken (Michael Mattera), who get paired together at a summer camp for foster kids and discover the meaning of unconditional love. The movie was inspired by real life stories from Royal Family Kids’ Camps for foster children and part of the proceeds raised have gone to support the network of camps.

The partially crowdfunded movie made a short theatrical run in various theaters around the country earlier this year and is currently available for one-night screenings at movie theaters and camps.
