Zac Brown Gives Tour of Camp Southern Ground Property

Country music star Zac Brown has been working the past few years to open a camp planned for 500 acres of farmland in Fayetteville, Ga., that when completed will serve children ages 7-17, with both typical and special needs.

Brown gives an update on Camp Southern Ground in this recent video clip, stating that there despite all that has been done there’s still “an uphill climb.”

The Grammy winner and former camp counselor also casts his vision for the camp as he travels the grounds in a four-wheeler.

“This is not the Zac Brown camp,” he says. “It’s a camp that will live on long after I’m dead and gone. I’ve always been blessed to be able to make a living doing what I love to do… The first time that I walk outside here and I hear a group of kids singing through the woods…that’s what it’s all about.”
